Sean is the Executive Director and Deputy Chief Permitting Officer of the Major Mines Office, in the BC Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation. His team of technical experts and project management specialists are responsible for permitting and regulating mineral and coal mines in the province. He holds a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in geology, with a focus on mining aqueous geochemistry, and has over 20 years of industry experience in government, consulting, and academia.
