Bob is a water, sustainability and management professional with over 30 years’ experience gained with tier 1 mining, professional services and consulting firms. He has a high level of mine water management experience and has led numerous hydrological and hydrogeological studies, developed and delivered numerous dewatering programmes, VWP and depressurisation studies and tailings seepage management studies, managed operational teams and undertaken due diligence reviews for investment houses. Prior to joining GHD, Bob initiated and led the sustainability service line for Ernst & Young in Perth and Rio Tinto Iron Ore. He held Management and Principal roles in geoscience, water strategy and hydrogeology, and was intimately involved in dewatering studies for major projects such as Marandoo Stage II. He has operated as an independent water management consultant and most recently was the Exploration Manager for Salt Lake Potash. Bob has worked extensively throughout Western and Northern Australia, in particular the Eastern and Northern Goldfields, and Pilbara regions of WA and internationally in the Peruvian and Chilean Atacama, Namibia, Tanzania and Indonesia.
