Pablo Ortega is a hydrogeologist at INTERA with a BSc in Earth Sciences, a PhD in Reactive Transport, and 11 years of experience in consulting (quantitative hydrogeology and hydrochemistry) and research. He has applied modeling for decision support in the mining industry, simulated and predicted the fate and transport of contaminants in groundwater, and modeled in-situ metal recovery through dissolution and transport processes. Additionally, Pablo has expertise in the quantitative analysis of groundwater quality and in developing conceptual and numerical groundwater models for complex environments, with a focus on management decisions. Throughout his career, he has supported industrial and governmental clients with mining and water resource projects in USA, South America, and Australia, addressing a variety of complex hydrogeological and groundwater quality challenges.
