Work Experience 

  • Prior to 1989: Work for various B.C. mines 
  • 1989-1991: Environmental Consultant, Talisman Land Resource Consultants 
  • 1991-2003: Senior Technical Inspector, Reclamation Section, B.C. Ministry of Mines 
  • 2003-Present: Research Scientist, CanmetMINING, Natural Resources Canada 

 Activities include: (1) assist mines in developing technically sound, cost effective ML/ARD and reclamation programs; (2) author various British Columbia and MEND ML/ARD guidelines; (3) member of MEND creating, coordinating and reviewing research; (4) teach including annual ML/ARD field school; (5) organize annual BC MEND ML/ARD Workshop; (6) member of BC Technical Research Committee on Reclamation; and (7) work in various capacities with annual BC Mine Reclamation Symposium and Northern Latitudes Conference.
