He has led numerous design efforts for filtered tailings facilities in the US and in Latin America. He is considered an expert in use and interpretation of in-situ tests, propensity for static and earthquake-induced liquefaction, material property derivation, laboratory analyses, and slope stability analysis, including the estimation of earthquake-induced slope deformation. Bryan was on the organizing committee for South Africa’s first major conference on heap leaching and initiated the Elko Roundtable Discussion seminar series in Nevada. Although he has spent more than 30 years working on tailing storage, what he most enjoys is building meaningful relationships.
