After early her law degree from the San martin de Porres University, Sandra joined the public sector where she developed her passion for environmental regulation and management, serving her country in the best possible way. She specialises in environmental law and her areas of expertise are mining and fishery. She joined the Ministry of Energy and Mining in 2020 as a Legal Specialist Level I, prior to that she served in a number of environmental public agencies of the Peruvian Government, such as the Agency for Environmental Assessment and Enforcement of Peru. She profoundly believes that every economic activity must be developed in a sustainable manner in harmony with the environment.
As an environmental lawyer, her goals include to continue training in the mining, fishery, and environmental industry sectors. In addition to her work, consisting of more than 13 years in the public sector, she was recognised by the Ministry of Production as a good public employee for her work commitment and service vocation with the citizens. Sandra also enjoys reading classic literature and a good Netflix binge.
