Job title: Head of Strategic Planning
Sebastián Greco is Head of Strategic Services for BHP Minerals Americas business, including the accountability of both water and energy strategy for the operations in Chile. Since he joined the mining industry with BHP in 2008, he has been leading strategic water issues through different perspectives including planning, commercial and corporate affairs roles. He holds a MSt in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in Chile. His recent activities include leading the implementation of Build Own Operate and Transfer water agreements based on desalinated water, and the implementation of the water strategy for BHP operations in Chile. He is engaged in promoting a water sourcing through desalination and seawater, combined with the use of the unique renewable energy sources of Chile to allow it in a sustainable way.
